Real Alloy has provided me with an opportunity to grow and learn about many different areas of our operation. I was hired in payables, moved to customer service, worked in quality, helped fill in for a controller, operations manager, and last year I was given the opportunity to become plant manager of our Goodyear plant located in Arizona. I was able to continue my education and received my bachelor’s degree while working for the company. What Real Alloy means to me is that there are opportunities for those who want to grow within the organization. Another reason I like working for Real Alloy is the people. Every day I come in and work with people who really care about the place and care about each other. It’s been an exciting 1^st year in my new role, and I look forward to what the future holds.

I have worked for Real Alloy for 15 years across four different sites. When I started with Real Alloy, I never knew what my career path would be or how it would advance. Within the first few year of working for the company leadership had given me more responsibilities and the chance to grow. Throughout my employment over these 15 years I have had the pleasure of working with all different styles of leadership with many different industry backgrounds to help me gain more industry knowledge and responsibilities. The company truly commits to the safety of their employees, career development and overall employee engagement. I look forward to being a part of the success of Real Alloy as I have enjoyed and appreciated my experiences.

I enjoy working at Real Alloy because I enjoy the people I work with, I have a great work-life balance, and I have the ability to improve many different aspects of the day-to-day operations of the plant.

I’ve been with Real Alloy – Morgantown, for a little over six years. In that time, I’ve been in the positions of Equipment Operator, Furnace Operator, Lead, and now Trainer Tech. Real Alloy has given me opportunities I don’t think I would have with another company. Working with new hires allows me to share my experience. I work with some great people and I enjoy coming to work each day.

Working as an IT professional in the manufacturing company has been an incredible experience. The supportive atmosphere and daily interactions among colleagues foster a collaborative environment. My role has allowed me to delve into the intricacies of the aluminum recycling process, gaining valuable insights into its environmental impact. The leadership team’s involvement and willingness to assist create a positive work environment. From engaging holiday parties to motivating luncheons, the company truly values its employees’ well-being.

On July 7^th, I will be celebrating my 42^nd year with the company.  I started at 18 years old on the ground floor, in a labor position.  Over the years, I have worked my way up to Operations Manager.  In the forty-two years that I have been here,  I have worked with the best in the business in the aluminum industry at all different levels.  I have enjoyed and learned every step of the way.

As a member of the environmental team, I receive the support needed from all functions, from small initiatives to more complex projects, which allows experience from all team members to drive decisions.  For me, the move to Real Alloy was a good decision. I’m proud to be part of a sustainable and growing business that promotes responsible and infinite recycling of aluminum that impacts our daily lives.

During my short tenure with the company, I am pleased to have found that Real Alloy is not just a team working together to achieve goals, but also a family driving one another towards professional success.  As soon as I joined the company, I was given the resources and encouragement to complete my PMP certification, a goal of mine for many years.  I am looking forward to what else is in store for my career with Real Alloy.
