Before joining REAL ALLOY’s leadership team in 2015, Mr. Barr served as Vice President at Aleris Recycling Europe for two years. Between 2010 and 2012, Mr. Barr was Vice President of Aleris Extrusions and also spent two years as their European Director of Non-Metals Purchasing. Previously, Mr. Barr was Managing Director and joint owner of the automotive supplier Triplex Components and held various positions at both De La Rue and the BMW/Rover Group. He holds a Bachelor’s degree (Honors) in Business Studies from Oxford Brookes University and an Engineering Management diploma from Warwick University’s School of Manufacturing. Mr. Barr served on the Board of the UK Aluminium Federation (ALFED) and served as Chairman of The Recycling Division of European Aluminium between 2020 – 2023. As of March 31, 2025, Mr. Barr was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of REAL ALLOY.
